12 *Free* Ways to Improve your Wellness

An amazing solo episode with Caro, all things wellness! Carolina touches on the subject of how sometimes wellness can seem like it's only for people who can afford all the new products and trending things like saunas, pilates, cold plunges, matching sets and much more! The current wellness content in media is sometimes only accessible to people who can spend money on it, but actually true wellness and taking care of your body, mind and soul can be done for free! Carolina gives us 12 amazing tips and hacks to level up your wellness routines!



Carolina brings us back to the basics and helps us to reconnect with wellness with these basic but important wellness tips!


1. Journaling

Journaling is an amazing way to connect back to writing. You can do a mind dump, use prompts, list out what you're grateful for and affirmations to get you through the day! Carolina likes to add this task into her morning routine. It's an amazing way to use habit stacking, you can write down your to-do list for the day and end off with some mindful journaling.


2. Go to an outdoor space

Getting outside in nature and grounding yourself is so important to reconnect with your mind and body. You can go for a walk in the park, go to the beach, have a picnic. The act of getting outside allows you to soak up the sun (get your vitamin D girl), get some steps in and connect with nature.


3. Connect with books (Get a library card)

Get back into reading, increase your knowledge, or escape to a fantasy world! Reading can bring you so much peace and joy, and it's a way to learn. You don't even have to pay for a new book or audio subscription, if you get a library card, you can access books and audio books!


4. Express gratitude for others

Carolina touched on how in a course she took she learned that by expressing our love or gratitude for others, we can actually increase our own happiness. Tell the people in your life how much you love and appreciate them!


5. Catch up with friends

It's so easy to get caught up in our daily lives and stressors that sometimes we forget to reach out to those in our lives. Nowadays everyone lives all over the place and it's hard to schedule in plans, try to make it a priority to meet up with your besties, or even multitask and call a friend on your way home from work. By talking to others you're able to express yourself, vent about any frustrations in your life or just get a nice laugh in!


6. Music!!

Blast your favorite song and dance around! Listening to music is such a feel good activity! Create different playlists for different moods or activities. Dance around and let out some built up energy or plan concerts with friends, the list can go on and on!


7. Watch a sunrise or sunset

Two of the greatest wonders in the world are sunrises and sunsets. By taking the time to appreciate the beauty, you are connecting with the beauties of the world and you can be grateful for the life you get to live.


8. Listen to a podcast

You know the inner growth fam loves our podcasts! Listen to your favorite podcast while working or walking. There are some amazing wellness ones out there that you can learn so much from, or even just lifestyle talking podcasts that allow you to zone out and have some girl chat. A lot of podcasts post their episodes on YouTube, so you don't even have to have a subscription! Wink Wink, don't forget to check out our YouTube page :)


9. Movement!

Get your hot bod moving!! Like Carolina I absolutely love running, I am currently training for a marathon! Having a training plan is so great because I get to incorporate it into my wellness routines! Running is amazing because you don't have to pay anything to do it! There are also so many great workouts and yoga on YouTube, and you get to support the creator of the video as well!


10. Breath work

We love connecting with our body and working towards becoming our highest self. Breath work and meditation are great ways to check in with yourself and see how your mind and body are doing. There are a ton of different breath work apps, you can find content on YouTube or even spotify, so you can do it really from anywhere!


11. Cold Showers

You don't need a fancy cold plunge tub to do this activity, you can do it right from your own shower, or if you're close to the beach, you can take a dive in nature! Cold showers are an amazing way to build up resilience and strengthen your mind. They're also great in the summer to cool your body down and reset after a long day or start your morning with a bang!


12. water yourself

Hydrate baby! Especially during the summer months, our body needs water. Water is so important in flushing out the system, providing you with energy and focus and helping you keep up with day to day life. If you don't like plain water, add some lemon slices or an electrolyte mix!
